For this commercial we built a frog that was puppeteered to both jump up and down on a lily pad and turn its head.
|
| |
| We had to make a frog jump up in the air from a seated position and then land back on its lily pad. We started by sculpting the frog in an extended position.

|
Jeff was hoping it might transform into a princess. |

One of the eyes being attached after the spraying was completed.

| |
Extensive testing was done in order to achieve the correct movement.
|
| |
The model frog was sculpted twice life size.
|
| |
During tests we altered the rigging in the frogs back legs so many times we called him Steve the bionic frog.
|
| |
Steve’s head was also rigged to turn via a cable.
