Archives - Tutunui's Garden

For this project we created a number of whale bones that were part of an instillation for acclaimed garden designer Kim Jarrett. Go to Archives for more photos.

We made a number of rib bones up to 6 meters in length.

The bones were constructed from steel section covered with foam.

The ribs were bolted to a steel frame buried underground.

The model vertebrae were used as seats.

The end of the day sees the sun go down on the west coast of New Zealand.

The ripple pool with dancing kelp.

The local council are considering keeping the instillation up as a permanent landmark.
