After successfully completing my course at Falmouth school of art in 1985, I ventured to London to begin working for one of the cities most creative model making companies. I gained invaluable knowledge from my apprenticeship and later became a partner in the company. In 1993 I formed Glasshammer where I have since enjoyed being a leading part of a very talented and passionately artistic team working together for the same goals.

I have worked in the Advertising industry for 10 years. Prior to my involvement at Glasshammer, I worked at TBWA in one of London's largest television departments where I was primarily responsible for all Television administration. This involved costing commercials prior to production, contract negotiations with the artists and arranging the submission of commercials to various stations to be aired. I have also trained as a producer and gained a Diploma in television production through the IPA in London. I have always had fun working in a creative environment.

Barry Down

My early career in dental prosthetics allowed me to develop many skills that I now utilize in SP FX construction. A B.A Honours in sculpture successfully furthered my creative ambitions. My acting roles allow me to appreciate the requirements on both sides of camera. For me, to be part of the team is truly a rewarding & fulfilling experience.

Jeff Thomas

Jeff has always had an interest in the art of model making. He has developed his natural artistic flare through his work in the theatre, the construction industry, and commercial bone carving. Managing an art gallery matured Jeff’s ability to contribute his diverse skills and temperament in a team environment.
